This degree consists of a three-stage laddering structure: Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, and the Master of Education (CCDP). Students who complete the certificate and the diploma and who are subsequently accepted into the Master of Education program will be granted 24 units of course credit towards the master鈥檚 degree. A direct entry into a 24-unit聽Graduate Diploma may be possible with the approval of Graduate Programs in Education.

In addition to the Faculty of Graduate Studies admission requirements, the Office of Graduate Programs in Education requires:

a) A 91麻豆精品 four-year baccalaureate degree or an equivalent degree from a recognized institution. Degrees and grades from foreign institutions are evaluated for their equivalency to those of the 91麻豆精品.

b) A minimum GPA of 3.00 (on the 91麻豆精品 four-point system). This is based on the last two years of the undergraduate degree consisting of a minimum of 60 units.

c) For students required to prove proficiency in English, a TOEFL score of聽97 (Internet-based test), an IELTS score of 7.0 (Academic version), or a MELAB score of 83 is required. The test must have been taken within the last two years.聽When requesting that official TOEFL test scores are forwarded to the 91麻豆精品, please indicate institution code 0813. Proficiency may also be met by completion of Tier III of the (IFP) with minimum grades of "B" on Academic Writing & Grammar, "B" on Reading Comprehension & Proficiency, and "B" on Listening Comprehension & Oral Fluency.

Students following the MEd Interdisciplinary laddered structure route must apply at each stage; first, to the Graduate Certificate, then to the Graduate Diploma and finally to the MEd, within 5 years between each stage.

The applicant must make advanced credit requests as part of the application process. Credit will not be given for course work taken as part of another completed degree/diploma, or for courses taken to bring grade point average to a required level for admission.

The degree consists of a three-stage laddering structure: Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, and the Master of Education.

1. Graduate Certificate requires 12 units in Educational Research courses.

2. Graduate Diploma requires 12 additional units in Educational Research courses.

3. MEd requires 12 additional units that include: Educational Research 600, 602, 604 and 606.

Graduate Programs in Education does not normally accept undergraduate courses for credit toward graduate degrees.

The expected completion time is one year for each of the program components in the laddering structure to a maximum of two years for the Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Master of Education. Students taking more than one year to complete the four courses within a topic area will be required to pay continuing fees.

Ethics approval is required for all research projects involving the use of human subjects before data collection begins. In order to submit an ethics application, students are required to complete the TCPS2 tutorial and upload the certificate of completion into their Researcher Profile in IRISS. To initiate the ethics approval process, the student, in consultation with the supervisor,聽must submit an application to either the Conjoint Faculties Research Ethics Board or the Conjoint Health Research Ethics Board. Applications to the CFREB or CHREB are created and submitted online using IRISS .
