A.聽FACULTY OF ARTS REQUIREMENTS Students must adhere to the applicable Faculty of Arts requirements in 3.4 Graduation. B.聽MAJOR-FIELD REQUIREMENTS Students must successfully complete a minimum of 7.0 and a maximum of 10.0 full-course equivalents in the Field of Latin American Studies while fulfilling the following requirements: 1.听Core Courses: Latin American Studies 211,听311,听401; General Studies 300. 2.听Research Methodology: General Studies 313. 3.聽Seminar or Research Course: 0.5 full-course equivalents chosen from Archaeology 503*, 537, 553; Geography 525*, 555*; History 565, 569; Latin American Studies 501; Political Science 571*, 579*; Spanish 553, 555, 571*, 599*.聽 (*Subject to approval by the Program Coordinator when focused on Latin American topics.) 4.听Latin American Studies Options: 3.5 full-course equivalents from the field of Latin American Studies including at least 3.0 full-course equivalents chosen from the list of 鈥淐ourses with a Focus on Latin America鈥 C.聽Other Requirements 1.听Language: Successful completion of Spanish 303 or demonstration of proficiency to that level in Spanish or Portuguese as approved by the Department of French, Italian and Spanish.
